Spruce Hair is a salon founded with the mission to be an inclusive and welcoming team of stylists working together to produce effortless, beautiful hair in a supportive and creative environment. All while allowing us the opportunity to foster a holistic work-life balance as we expand and grow into our salon careers.
We strive to create a space for our guests and community in which they can find acceptance and validation. We were the first salon in Durham to be recognized by the city as an LGBTQ ‘safe place’ and we are aligned with Strands for Trans as well as the Dresscode Project.
We also have an associate program designed to help support new graduates in cultivating their skills above and beyond their schooling and to build their confidence and artistry behind the chair as they learn through mentoring and hands-on opportunities.
